In order to prepare for our trip, we obviously had to put a lot of things in order before the trip started. A large part of the preparation consisted of collecting money so that we could book everything to go on the trip. In addition, we also had to provide a schedule.
With the schedule, everyone could know what was planned for each day. Drawing up a schedule for a trip is not always that easy. Sometimes you can’t make a perfect estimate of what’s going to happen, and you often don’t know what kind of environment you will find yourself in. During the preparation of the script, I was mainly busy looking for the bus stops so that we always knew where we could take a bus to our destination.
Sounds easy, but wasn’t. Of course, there are several possibilities to get to your destination. On the spot, it was quite easy to take the bus, but sometimes it was just a quick search and see which bus was most suitable for us. These are things you don’t know in advance, so it’s very important to be flexible.
With this in mind, we always planned enough time to get to our destination. Luckily, we also decided to buy the leap visitor card. With this card we could take the bus, train and subway for the duration of 3 days. This allowed us to be a lot more flexible and gave us the opportunity to change means of transportation.
The conclusion: the planning went very smoothly, and we barely had any problems.
